Top 10 3D TVs For The Superbowl

Lots of home entertainment aficionados are buying 3D TVs for the extra depth that they provide for sports broadcasts-literally.

Next year's Superbowl may be in 3D, and for some football fans, that's reason enough to spend $1, 000 or more on a 3D ready TV. Here's a look at a few of the best screens to that you can find for 3D sports.

VIZIO XVT3D554SV - 55 inches of pure bliss. In addition to great 3D replication, this Vizio has Internet apps, so you can check YouTube in between plays (you know, if you'd want to do that for some reason or another).

Samsung UN55C9000 - It's also 55 inches, and it's also Internet ready, but it's not as well-reviewed. However, it is thin--razor thin. It'll be the envy of any Superbowl party, and it stands up whether 3D is on or not. About $3, 000.

Toshiba 46WX800U - Save some money with this $1200 46". After all, you may not need a lot of size when you're going 3D, right? Plus, it looks great and sports a thin profile that complements any living room.

Samsung 50" 3-D Ready 1080p 600Hz Plasma HDTV PN50C8000 - This Samsung boasts a 600Hz refresh rate and web-connected apps. It's also plasma, whereas most of the TVs on this list are LED, so if plasma's you're thing, this is a steal at $1, 800.

Sony's TVs are on here a lot because they look great and have advanced shutter glasses, which I find to be comfortable and more true to cinema-quality 3D than other options. This one's almost $3, 600, but it's the best looking screen on this list.

Mitsubishi WD-65738 - This is the biggest choice on this list. It's 65 inches, Internet ready, and perfect for blowing your neighbor's Superbowl party out of the water.
