The Pros And Cons Of The Sony 42-Inch Flat Screen TV
The product
The Sony 42-inch Flat Screen LCD television has to be one of the best television's I've ever owned. I can play HD shows, and it has hook ups for everything that can be hooked up to a television. It comes with a remote. With the use of the remote, it can be used as a really loud alarm clock. Parental controls are easy to set and hard for the kids to figure out. It sets perfectly on a entertainment center that has no top. It can be viewed from the side as well as the front. Caddy cornering it in the room allows everyone the ability to watch it from everywhere in the room. It even has smart sound that when enabled it will adjust the volume so that the commercials don't blast you in between watching your show. The picture is so clear and can be adjusted for different settings. Like cinema, custom and standard, just to name a few. Setting it up was a breeze. I hooked up the cable line, plugged it in, turned it on and it done the rest. Searching for channels and setting it so that you don't have to skip ones you don't have. Except for setting the date and time, and this is a must if you decide to use the timer function.
Even without a cable box, it asked if I wanted to search for digital channels and upon doing so it found all the music channels that you would normally get with the box. And watching shows such as CSI and things like that, make you feel like your right there. With the lights off and the sound up, a bowl of popcorn and some soda you'd think you were at a theater.
Dislikes
The only things that I found that I don't like is that it doesn't have split screen capability. As well as it taking about a minute to power up before allowing you to change the channel, unless you use a cable or satellite box. It is such a great product that I can't write enough about it to explain. And although the price is a little high it is well worth it, and can be found in most rent to own stores, allowing you to make payments.
Recommendations
In closing, I would recommend this television to all that enjoy watching quality shows and movies. The sound and picture is so high quality, you won't need anything else.
